"I Made A Stylised Figure Of Aisha Yesufu To Appreciate Her Roles Towards Contemporary Activism In Nigeria” - UNIBEN Final-Year Student Says
Recall that his unique art was inspired by an iconic photo of Aisha Yesufu which was taken during the #EndSARS protest of October 2020.
The young and talented Fine and Applied Arts student in his Twitter post, disclosed that his intention of building the sculpture was in appreciation of Aisha Yesufu’s roles towards contemporary activism in Nigeria.
Omoregie, also added that the sculpture was part of the requirements for the award of B.A Fine and Applied Arts.
Sharing the photos of the statue,
he wrote;
“I thank the Lord, for this. I am Omoregie Emmanuel. As part of the requirements for the award of B.A Fine and Applied Arts, I made a stylised figure of Aisha Yesufu to appreciate her roles towards contemporary activism in Nigeria.”
