Kenya Presidential Election 2022: William Ruto Declared Winner
William Ruto has been declared the winner of Kenya presidential election 2022 which was held on Tuesday, 9 August.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), announced his victory on Monday, August 15, 2022.
The Kenya's Deputy President, William Ruto defeated with 7.18 million votes (50.49%) against 6.94 million (48.85%) for his rival Raila Odinga.
Although, the announcement was said to be delayed amid allegations of vote-rigging by members of Odinga’s campaign.Stating that there were irregularities and mismanagement in the election.
55-year-old Ruto has now become the 5th president-elect of Kenya.And this was the first time he contested for presidential election in Kenya.
