Muhammadu Buhari Swears In Three New Permanent Secretaries (Photos)

Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 sworn in three new Permanent Secretaries.

The swearing in which was held before the commencement of the weekly virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), took place at the Council Chambers of the presidential villa, Abuja.

The three new Permanent Secretaries who were sworn in are; 

  • Mr Udo Okokon Ekanem from Akwa Ibom state,
  • Engr. Faruk Yusuf Yabo from Sokoto,
  • Lydia Shehu Jafiya from Adamawa state,

The attendees of the swearing in ceremony include; The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, who was not present at the ceremony but virtually attended due to the knee surgery he had recently.  

Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Prof. Ali Pantami, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, the Head of the Federal Civil Service, the National Security Council (NSA), retired Gen. Babagana Monguno, the Ministers of Finance, Budget and National Planning; Information and Culture; Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Zainab Ahmed, Lai Mohammed, and Muhammed Bello, Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami were also present at the meeting.

Also, Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; Power, Abubakar Aliyu, and other dignitaries.
