"Such People Don’t Last Long": Pete Edochie Speaks On Grandson's Death, Kambilichukwu
Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has revealed what he told his son, Yul Edochie before his grandson, Kambilichukwu's death.
Actor Yul Edochie's first son, Kambilichukwu passed away on Thursday morning, March 30, 2023. His death happened two months after his parents, Yul and May Edochie, took to their various social media handles to celebrate his 16th birthday.

Pete Edochie in an interview with Vanguard, disclosed alot of things he told his son, Yul about his grandson, Kambili before his sudden demise.
According to Pete Edochie, Kambilinachukwu is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child, who was so accomplished.
Pete added that he always tells his son, Yul that he doesn't like people like Kambili who often excels in any thing they are involved in, because such people don’t last long.
Speaking more on the sudden demise of his grandson, the legendary actor, Pete said his son, Yul, called him on the telephone on Wednesday, March 29th, informing him that Kambilichukwu while playing football with his schoolmates fell down and developed a seizure.
He said that Kambili was immediately rushed to nearby Mother and Child Hospital, in Lagos State where he was confirmed dead.
He also added that his family members started praying for God's intervention over the child's health condition immediately he received the call from his son, Yul about the sad incident.
Kambili is not somebody you can ride easily. He doesn’t get angry no matter the situation,” he said.
“He may change his composure, but he was definitely a very unusual person in so many respects.
The nollywood Godfather concluded by adding that it was unfortunate that his grandson died while he had shown great promise.
