Veteran Nollywood Actor, Saint Obi, Is Dead
Veteran Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor, better known as Saint Obi has died.
PN.com.ng learnt that the former Nollywood actor and producer, Saint Obi passed on at the age of 57 after a prolonged illness.
According to information reaching PN, he died on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the home of one of his siblings in Jos, Nigeria.
His remains have been deposited at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, morgue. Although his death was not announced immediately by his family due to a disagreement between his siblings.
Saint Obi is a native of Okpa in Mbaitolo Local Government Area, of Imo State, Nigeria. He joined the Nigerian movie industry, in 1995.
In 1996, after starring in the popular NTA commercial series, he became famous and has since then featured in more than 250 Nollywood movies which include; War Front, Goodbye Tomorrow, Candle Light, Heart of Gold,The President Must Not Die, Executive Crime and State of Emergency.
Saint Obi produced his first movie titled “Take Me to Mama” in 2001. But after some years, he quit acting and focused more on the production and business part of the entertainments.
The exact cause of his death is still unknown to us at the time of this report.
